Hey, I’m Renato—a Senior Lookdev & Texture Artist with nearly a decade of experience in VFX, animation, and digital environments. I specialize in texturing, shading, and material creation, bringing a balance of technical precision and artistic intuition to every project.
I’ve worked on some of the biggest productions out there, including Dune: Part Two, House of the Dragon S2, The Last of Us S2, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, Captain Marvel, Game of Thrones S8, Star Trek Discovery, and Sonic the Hedgehog 2. My background in industrial design gives me a unique perspective when creating digital materials—I love the challenge of making textures feel authentic, tactile, and believable.
Over the years, I’ve also worked in modeling and surfacing, always looking for ways to push realism and visual storytelling through detailed craftsmanship. Outside of production, I’m passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of artists, helping them refine their skills and find their own artistic voice.
